Husein Huseinov was born
on 22 September 1951 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
In 1977 he graduated from the Art Faculty of the All-Union State Institute for Cinematography in Moscow (his mentors were Professor B.M. Nemenskiy, I.A. Spinel and G.A. Myasnikov).
From 1977 onwards he participated in numerous Republican, All-Union and international art exhibitions.
In 1982 he became a member of the Union for Artists of the USSR.
From 1992 he has been a regular participant in international symposia in Baku, Azerbeidzjan.
A scholarship awarded to him by the city of Innsbruck enabled him to work in Austria.
He participated in a number of group exhibitions in Moscow, Germany, Turkey, Azerbeidzjan, Iran, France and Great Britain.
Exhibitions of his paintings were organized in Tehran (Iran, 1997, in Besalou (Spain, 1999) and in Innsbruck (Austria, 1999).
His work was acquired by the Turkmen State Museum for Fine Arts, the Exhibition Fund of the Artists Union of Turkmenistan, the Moscow Directorate for Artistic Exhibitions, the Tyrol Cultural Fund (Innsbruck) and by a number of private collectors in Turkmenistan, France, Russia, the United States, Germany, Turkey, Austria, Spain, Azerbeidzjan, the Netherlands and Great-Britain.
Husein Huseinov was the artistic director of more than ten films and theatrical productions.
He has received the title ‘Honorable Artist of Turkmenistan’ and was awarded with the State Award of the USSR.
Husein Huseinov lives and works in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
